The design of fast food paper packaging (I)

China's fast food industry started late. The concept of modern fast food was introduced into China only after the American KFC fast food chain settled in China in April, 1987. However, China's fast-food industry has developed rapidly. In just a dozen years, it has presented a market pattern of traditional and modern, Chinese and western, beautiful and big way, high-end and low-end fast-food competition and coexistence

with the rapid development of the fast food industry, the fast food packaging industry has also made great progress. The quality of food packaging directly affects the quality, grade and market sales of food industrial products. Although food packaging cannot represent the internal quality of food, good packaging can ensure and extend the shelf life and shelf life of food. Excellent packaging can win reputation for products and give priority to consumers

food enterprises attach great importance to the selection of product packaging materials. Among all kinds of packaging materials, plastic has the characteristics of portability, cheapness and good barrier, and occupies a large share in the food packaging market. However, the further development of plastic in the field of food packaging is limited due to its harmfulness and non degradability to human health. In recent years, the advantages of paper packaging in the field of food packaging are becoming more and more obvious. Internationally, some countries stipulate that plastic bags are prohibited for packaged food and advocate the use of paper products for green packaging. Compared with plastic packaging, paper packaging has many advantages, mainly reflected in:

① good hygiene and extensive sources of raw materials

② degradability and recyclability

③ good temperature tolerance

④ unique porous structure, excellent reprocessability

⑤ excellent plasticity

⑥ because the paper material has good affinity for water-soluble glue and water-based ink, it is environmentally friendly

due to the light weight, good stiffness and easy formability of paper and paper products, they can be made into food packaging products with different functions. In addition, their outstanding environmental protection makes them more and more widely used in food packaging, especially in fast food packaging. The development trend of fast food paper packaging is roughly reflected in the following aspects:

1. Sanitation and environmental protection

the most basic requirement of base paper for fast food packaging is that it must meet the hygiene requirements. In China, this kind of base paper must meet the hygiene indicators specified in gb11680-89 to consolidate the existing market position. At the same time, the auxiliary materials of this kind of packaging, such as ink, varnish, paste box glue, etc., must also meet the requirements of food hygiene and environmental protection

as we all know, the main raw materials of papermaking are wood pulp, cotton pulp and straw pulp. The chemical auxiliary raw materials used include aluminum sulfate, soda ash, sodium sulfite, sodium hypochlorite, rosin and talc powder. If these raw materials are dirty and moldy, they will make food packaging products contain a large number of molds harmful to human body. Moreover, as the paper-making process is more than exploring the new development path of plastic granulator technology, if the paper-making equipment is stained by unsanitary substances such as oil dirt and dust, it will also damage the quality of packaging products. Therefore, the original production conditions need to be improved in the preparation process to improve the product quality and meet the production requirements

solvents containing harmful substances such as benzene are inevitably added to traditional printing inks and varnish. Although most of them volatilize during the printing process, a small amount of residual substances will continue to be emitted during packaging and use. At present, the best way to solve this problem is to use flexographic printing. This printing method uses water-based or alcohol based ink and varnish solvent, which is basically non-toxic and completely volatile. In Western Europe, the proportion of flexographic printing in packaging printing has increased from 4% in the early 1950s, 10% in the early 1970s and 18% in the early 1990s to 28% today. In the United States and Canada, flexographic printing accounts for about 70% of packaging printing, which shows its development potential and popularity

general flexographic printing continues to climb a new peak with a firmer pace. It is drum rotary printing, which can be online die-cutting, and some can even be online box pasting, bag making, etc., especially suitable for the production of automatic packaging machines in food production enterprises. From the perspective of food hygiene, flexographic printing is the most suitable packaging printing process
